They also realize that they can make a shitload more money by making everyone buy their new OS. Calculations like this are why everyone hates them. This is also why they have suddenly embraced "open standards" and created a new, incompatible format for all office documents. Have you noticed any difference in battery life between the two OS's? My friend has a Sony and says he gets way less time in Ubuntu than he used to in Windows. I’m sure they do realize that.
